Project #2
Frank Stella
Frank Stella was born in 1936 in Malden, Massechusetts to Italian-American parents. In High school he was introduced to painting by one of his teachers which he continued to study in college. His first claim to fame was when he was featured at the Museum of Modern Art's "Sixteen Americans" where he became noticed as a very "radical" young artist. Since his first shows, Stella's signature use of shapes and colors has became a very popular genre of modern art.
